Energy efficiency in private households

Using energy efficiently — protecting resources
The focus is on private households as a decisive starting point for saving resources. By reducing energy consumption, consistently using renewable energy sources and a coordinated energy management system, emissions can be reduced, costs reduced and dependencies on fossil fuels are reduced. There is considerable potential for savings, particularly in the building sector.
Intelligent systems instead of individual measures
The project makes it clear that lasting effects can only be achieved through the interplay of several components:
—Use of renewable energy such as photovoltaics, solar thermal energy or heat pumps
—intelligent energy management systems for demand-oriented control
—digital building automation to optimize consumption, storage and self-consumption
In this way, energy is not only generated, but also used proactively and efficiently.
Orientation, education and implementation
The Maria Streibich Foundation sees itself as a driving force for awareness-raising and practical orientation. The aim is to present complex technical relationships in an understandable way and to show how digitization and intelligent control can pave the way to a resource-saving, sustainable lifestyle in everyday life.
