Annual Report 2023

The starting point is the recognition that today's healthcare systems are mostly reactive and that prevention is neglected. Lifestyle-related diseases, environmental degradation, loss of biodiversity and global health crises make it clear that sustainable health can only be achieved when humans, nature and animals work together. The Foundation therefore consistently focuses its work on prevention, a healthy life span and equal opportunities in all phases of life.
Focus on the 10 essentials
In order to act effectively, the Foundation focuses its activities on ten key areas of action, including:
—holistic health concept and interdependence
—sustainable nutrition and local food production
—Prevention of zoonoses and antibiotic resistance
—Animal welfare and personal health responsibility
This focus creates clarity, enables efficient use of resources and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration.
Impact through cooperation and knowledge transfer
The Maria Streibich Foundation sees itself as a driving force and networker. It translates scientifically based knowledge into practical projects, promotes education and one-health literacy, and provides support where public structures alone are not sufficient. The goal is a healthy, resilient and sustainable future — for all people, in harmony with nature and wildlife.
